The event of World Space Week 2020 is a global celebration of space as declared by the United Nations back in 1999. It is annually celebrated in over 90 countries during 4-10 October.
This year the event's theme was 'Satellites Improve Life'.
In Pakistan, the celebrations commenced on 4 Oct 2020 with inaugural countdown and exclusive inaugural message by Executive Director WSWA Ms Maruska Strah.
The event infused assorted online activities including webinars, streaming of educational videos, space documentaries, live astronomical observations, online contests, etc. with various physical events conducted at educational institutions as well as at homes by general masses.
The events concluded on 10 Oct while report submissions were entertained by 25 Oct and are now being evaluated for suitable felicitations.
